Supporting students to be work-ready

Andrew McMillan —

Mana College supports students to be work-ready. This term our transition class have started a fencing course where they will learn the skills and capabilities to construct various types of fencing. They learn to work collaboratively to build post and wire and electric fences.

A recent government announcement (May 24th 2020) has allocated $100 million to the installation and protection of riparian and waterway areas. Not only does this course provide valuable work skills. it also provides a significant number of credits at NCEA L3. Here you can see students working with our outside provider from Papa Taiao Graham Rowland."
