First XV news

Richard Anderton —

Two weeks ago the 1st XV held a rugby camp at a working farm near Ekatahuna.

It started at Mana College with a session in our marae around team belonging, then involved some farm work, bonding time, as well as important training time together.

The 2 nights at the farm was followed by a Game against private boys school Lindisfarne College. This was a good quality game of rugby with us leading at halftime but running out of steam ending up going down 25-19. A connection was made and we look forward to traveling up there again next year as we are pleased to lock this in as an annual exchange. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the camp both in preparation through to the rugby game and safe travel home.

The 1st XV have started their campaign with a solid 65 nil win over Porirua College, next up is St Bernards tomorrow.
