Alert Level 2 - Wednesday 12 August

John Murdoch —

Kia ora koutou

As you know, Auckland has been placed in Level 3 lockdown and the rest of New Zealand in Level 2 from lunchtime, Wednesday 12th. This does not mean a great deal of change for us, but there are a few things to be aware of:

1. All classes continue as normal but with encouragement of social distancing. Our property staff have been around all classes and checked toilets to make sure there is enough sanitizer etc.
2. We all need to wash hands regularly and thoroughly for 20 seconds.
3. At the moment, sporting competitions are still on, but the regional badminton competition tomorrow (Weds) has been postponed.
4. Stay home if you are sick.
5. Learning conferences will go ahead on Friday.
6. If you are visiting the school a reminder to use the contact tracer app with the barcode on display at the front office. Information at https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-novel-coronavirus-resources-and-tools/nz-covid-tracer-app

The shift in alert levels announced by the Prime Minister last night was the last thing any of us wanted to hear, but thank you for the calm and sensible way you have responded to this latest news. We are prepared and will wait to hear further instructions from the Ministry of Health.

Ngā mihi
