Farewell to staff

John Murdoch —

We have a number of staff leaving the Mana College whanau at the end of 2021...

Both our school counselor, Jackie Agalawatta, and Jan Love, our social worker, are both leaving at the end of the year. Jackie is going to work at the teen parent unit, and Jan will be working with Family Harm. 

Jane Bloxham, our Head of Technology, who starts another chapter of her life in the Waikato.

Mark Houghton, our head of English, who is promoted to a head of faculty at Hutt Valley High school.

Val Probert. We farewelled our school librarian and science technician a couple of weeks ago. This beautiful wahine gifted 7 years of her work to Mana as the and so much more. Thank you Val for your gift to the school which will hold pride of place in the new library.

Diana Wright. Diana is leaving Mana after 24 year of service at Mana College as a classroom teacher of Science, Head of Faculty for Science, curriculum coordinator, NZQA liaison, Principal’s Nominee and Acting Deputy Principal.

Diana’s contribution to the school and the education community has been huge, including responsibilities and passions in Gifted and Talented, PPTA, Mentoring, external marker and as staff representative on the BOT.

Diana, you are a highly creative, intelligent and passionate educator, your contribution of a quarter of a century is acknowledged and never forgotten.

We wish you well in your new endeavors. Mana College is a richer kura because of your mahi over the course of your time here.
