Over Term 3 the students in Te Whare Ako have been learning about the upcoming elections. We have learnt about how our government operates and what is involved when voting. As part of our learning we hosted three "Meet the candidates" hui, where we could kōrero with the politicians from Mana Electorate. Ngā mihi nui to Joanne Hayes (National), Jan Logie (Greens) and Barbara Edmonds (Labour) who took the time to meet our rangatahi and share each others' stories. TWA plan to hold their own "mock election" in Term 4 - stay tuned for the results.
