The students had 2.5 hours to work their way through various challenges and gained points for completing aspects of the challenge.

The Mana team chose to build a tower for a roller-coaster. They had to build a structure so that they could roll a ball down tracks that were attached to all four sides of the tower, the ball then had to dropat least 30cm onto another track, then move onto a seesaw, rolling from side to side at least three times and then when the ball reached the end of the ride a second ball had to be released to begin the same journey.

Overall the team managed to complete 5 of the 6 challenges for the roller-coaster and gained 290 points.

This score put them into 3rd equal place and means that they are eligible to compete in the Wellington region semi-finals next term.
