Principal's Award

Elmarie Els —

The following students received a Principal's award today for their display of Manaakitanga.

They got to share a healthy morning tea in the Principal's office and also received a certificate for their efforts.

Congratulations to:

William Valach-Hurlstone -  William stood up to act as a support person for a classmate who was asked to speak in front of the class - great show of Manaakitanga and a touching moment.

Kaitlyn Hawe-Good -  Consistently showing respect for learning, staff and other students all week/year.

Brooklyn Gray -  Brooklyn wrote a wonderful email last week when our Librarian Ms Probert had a fall, then this week displayed real empathy in checking to see how Ms Probert was.

Storm Espinosa-Barbarich - Consistently showing respect for learning, staff and other students all week/year. Storm he is always respectful and helpful in Hauora. If Storm is there I can totally know that she will help out and do anything that is needed. She really helped me out the other day when I needed to be in about three places at the same time! She is an awesome young lady and I totally take my hat of to her! Storm is respectful, empathetic, sympathetic.
Jack McMahon - Taught Ms Anderton  how to surf. Well he tried.

Robyn Kingi  - Robyn is a wonderful example of how students can and should treat each other. She’s always polite, respectful and cheerful to teachers, students and cares for others. In particular she was like a guardian for another student in her class who often would get bullied for being different.

Rosa Stratford  - Showing consistent manaakitanga towards other's learning. She has done this all year by including others, working well with others, and explicitly supporting and teaching others. There is not one scenario that stands out because everything she does is done with the utmost mana and respect. She is a star example of manaakitanga!
