Kia ora e te whānau

Welcome back to the 2024 school year at Mana College. We are very much looking forward to a positive and successful school year, and we certainly feel the vibrations of hope and optimism around the school as we make preparations for a wonderful year of fun, progress and achievement.

Welcome to all our Year 9 students and whānau who have began their Mana College journey on Thursday morning, and to all our new students at all year levels for Year 10-13. The pōwhiri was an excellent start to our school and it was great to see so many whānau and family in attendance.

The school roll is also on the increase again and we are now again a school of over 500 students, and I am looking forward to welcoming all other school levels on Wednesday 7th February. A reminder that classes begin on Wednesday 7th February at 10am.

We also welcome our new staff to our kura. I'm very privileged to be working with a highly talented and committed group of professionals, and I know they will work hard to make a positive impact of your young persons' life.

In other news, our property rebuild is taking shape. We look forward to our gymnasium opening in March this year, and Te Uru Kahika, our science and technology hub in March 2025.

Enjoy the weekend and look forward to starting the year fully with all our students next week.
