Last week Mana College celebrated the first ever Filipino Language Week, hosted by the Filipino Students of Mana! 

The theme in the Philippines for “Buwan ng Wika”/ “Month of Language” that set our intentions for the week was “Filipino Wikang Magpalaya” translating to Langauge of liberation & freedom through language. 

The Filipino Group shared their culture in many ways throughout the week, including speaking and teaching Tagalog, Traditional Filipino Games, Karaoke, Traditional Dances (B’laan Maral, Tiklos, Cariñosa & Ppop) and finally food.

The week was vibrant, fun, and so amazing to see the school community appreciating and sharing in the beauty and joy of Filipino culture & language.
