Sport Update

Pene Bishop-Paenga —

It has been a fast and successful start to winter sport.

It’s was great to see all our teams take the field, courts and turf the past 3 weeks. The support on the sidelines has been massive for all our teams and is great to see.

Both Junior Basketball boys and girls have qualified for the premier division. Senior boys Basketball have ended a 10 year drought and qualified for the Premier division as well. Full squads in our Basketball B teams have lead them to promising wins through the grading rounds.

We have 5 Netball teams playing up at Kapi Mana every Saturday morning. It’s awesome to see all our players back on court and teams supporting each other on the sideline.

Thanks to the generous donation by alumni Rod Perkins, our football team received a new kit before taking the field for the first time on Saturday. Thank for your continued support.

Mana rugby has had a great start across all teams. For the first time in 10 years we are fielding a 1st XV, 2nd XV, under 15 and girls under 15. All teams have had a promising start to the season with the U15 boy’s and 1st XV both undefeated.
