MATHEMATICS COMPETITIONS!

Maths competitions provide an excellent opportunity for students to extend themselves, test their knowledge and have some challenging fun! We will be offering TWO different Mathematics Competitions in Term 3 this year. Read about each of them below:

The Australian Mathematics Competition will be in Week 2 of Term 3. This is for students from Year 9 through to Year 13 and involves 30 problems. We are accepting registrations for this NOW.

The NZAMT Senior Mathematics Competition will be in Week 3 of Term 3. This is for students from Year 11 through to Year 13. It is a 90 minute competition, and students can enter as an individual OR as a team. If your child would like to be part of a team but doesn’t know who else would be keen, we can assist them with joining a group. We are accepting registrations for this NOW.

Last day for registering for either of these is Friday 8th July.

If you are interested in your child being a part of either of the Mathematics Competitions above, please get them to contact Mrs Shayna Doyle at shaynad@mana.school.nz OR alternatively they can talk to their Mathematics teacher about it.
