Te Kiwa Nui 2024
Marion Tuite - August 15, 2024
Last Friday 9 August we had the pleasure and the privilege of watching our students showcase their culture at this year's Te Kiwa Nui, formerly known as the Northern Regional Polyfest. There were 3 groups performing to represent our kura; Kapa Haka, the Samoan group and the Cook Island group. All the performances were amazing and were truly a testament to the pride, commitment, enthusiasm and hard work put in by the students, our staff and their outside tutors.
I would like to especially thank our staff, Tamahae, Kimi, Ramona and Rosie and their respective tutors for giving up so much of their personal time over the last few terms to ensure this happened. I would also like to thank you, the whanau of our students, for your support in getting children to practices and assisting where you could.
Mana College has been a participant in this festival for many years now and hosted the event last year and we look forward to our continued involvement in 2025 and beyond.
