Employment Services in Schools Programme Students from Manawatū College Helping the Foxton Community!

Mana Media —

Employment Services In Schools works with students in their last two years in high school.

Devon Easton, from HLC works with these students, school and their families to navigate their employment or educational pathway. Work experience is offered to give the students new skills and opportunities that may assist them. It teaches work ethics, and teamwork and allows the students to give back to their own community.

Recently, Jon Ray and Terence Clough have been working at Te Awahou Kai on a Thursday. Te Awahou Kai is a Food Rescue Community Service in Foxton run by Linda Lake and the team and makes free kai available to whānau every week. The boys helped move items around and shelving kai items. They are enjoying helping the community.
