In February, the head students and principals of the three colleges in the Horowhenua were invited to meet the Right Honourable John Key, and then have lunch with him and hear him share his thoughts on our region, New Zealand and the United States of America election primaries. 

"Our perceptions of Mr. Key had been shaped by what we had seen of him and about him on television and social media. These were really just controversial ‘sound-bites’. However, after meeting and talking with him in person, and then hearing him talk about a wide range of topics as well as answering some searching questions from the floor, those perceptions have changed. We have a far better appreciation of him and his abilities now, and also how well our region and our country is doing. "
