This year marks 10 years that Manawatu College has been participating in the annual Relay For Life event, and to add to our celebrations, we have been nominated for this year's new Youth Award for schools!

Relay For Life is a fun, overnight fundraising event for the Cancer Society that brings communities together to celebrate and remember the lives of those who have been affected by cancer.

This inspiring community event gives everyone a chance to celebrate cancer survivors and carers; remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back by raising awareness and funds to support the work of Cancer Society. 

It involves teams of people who walk or run around a track. In a relay style, each team needs to have at least one participant on the track throughout the event.

There are 14 students and at this stage four staff involved in the event this year. Students are collecting donations so please help support this worthy cause. Remember it's not how much you give, it's how much aroha (love) is in the giving.
