Our First XV compete in the National Secondary School Rugby League Championships in Papakura.
Being a rugby team the boys found the rules and strategy a little challenging but they picked up as the week went on.
They group set off from school on Sunday 2nd September for the long roadtrip to Auckland, where they would be staying at Ngati Otara Marae for the week.
The boys had a tough first up game in the competition, going down 3 tries to 4 against Whangaparoa College.
On day two the boys went down 30-14 vs Papakura after a close 10-4 score at the half.
On day three they played against play Haeata Community Campus and beat them 30-10.
On day four they won an intense encounter against Naenae College 26-20.
It was a great week of learning for the team. From personal wellbeing, development and growth. Congratulations to year 13 students Shae Gray who was named best and fairest in Development grade.
