The tri-series has been in operation for four years and engages, celebrates and unites students from Manawatu, Waiopehu and Horowhenua Colleges, through Tikanga and Te Reo Maori, in a traditional Maori context during Te Wiki o te Reo Maori - Maori Language Week.

This year, we hosted the competition where the schools faced each other in traditional Maori games  Ki o Rahi and Horohopu.  Congratulations to Manawatu College who won the competition for the second year running! 

While the competition is fierce and all schools want to win, the onus is really on participating and celebrating being Maori. Next year, Waiopehu College will be the hosts of the tri-series.
