This year was the third Get—Go Future's Day for year 10 students and what a day it was!

Mana Media —

The aim of the day is to provide students in Horowhenua the opportunity to experience a workplace first-hand whilst showcasing local employers and career options, right here — in Horowhenua.

Our students were lucky enough to visit two superb local employers, Homestead Construction and Pāmu Farms.

Homestead Construction Limited is a third-generation family business based in Levin. They specialise in providing end-to-end 'Design & Build' construction management services covering the full project: Feasibility, Design, Permits/Consents, Earthworks, Construction, Project Management, Interior Fit-Out, Landscaping, and more.

Pāmu is the brand name for Landcorp Farming Limited. Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with a nationwide portfolio of farms that produce milk, beef, lamb, wool, venison, wood and more. They employ about 700 people across New Zealand and Run 125 sheep, beef cattle, dairy and deer farms.

Thank you to Get-Go for organising the day and Whaea Kara and Whaea Pip for escorting the students.
