On Thursday, 3rd September, our students interested in a career in the health sector were visited by Otago University's Rural Health Experience initiative.

Mana Media —

This involved tertiary health students talking to the students about making sure they complete their secondary education and perhaps pursue one of the many rewarding careers in rural health.

The students were divided into small groups and engaged in interactive workshops, covering topics such as human anatomy, blood pressure measurement, reflex testing and CPR. There was also an opportunity for the pupils to have a go using authentic equipment and learn basic principles in a fun, safe and interactive setting.
