Earlier in term two, the students attended the first-ever White Ribbon Youth Ambassador Leadership Programme in Wellington.
White Ribbon aims to eliminate men’s violence towards women by encouraging men to take ownership of this important issue and model good behaviour that can change attitudes and behaviour.
An effective feature of White Ribbon’s strategy is to have Ambassadors, who are respected and influential role models, promoting White Ribbon messages to their network and community. Ambassadors will play a vital role in building support, visibility and promoting White Ribbon’s messages to new groups.
We look forward to hearing and seeing how our Ambassadors fulfil their roles and the difference that they will make.
