This year has been a good one for Allen House and we have had some big changes.

At the start of the year our goal was to not only to try and win of course, but lift our House spirit as well. With huge participation from staff and students, Allen House has definitely had a turn around, improving and developing in all areas of the House. This year we have had a dramatic improvement in participation and although we have not come out on top, I am confident in saying we sure do take out first place for House spirit and sportsmanship!

As I mentioned before we had some big changes to the House with the sad departure of our House Dean Mrs Judy Richards to further her teaching career and have some amazing adventures in the United Arab Emirates. Although this is a huge loss I would like to take the time to congratulate one of the Allen Mentor teachers, Miss Toni Hakaraia, for stepping up and becoming the new House Dean. From what has happened so far I can tell there are great things to come for Allen House and they will be left in great hands. With this promotion also came a new face to Allen House, Miss Renee Tozer, who took over AHK which then became ATZ. I would like to thank all the staff and senior leaders, Chelsea Parlato and Logan Dear for making this year one to remember. We have all had some great, funny times together and I hope this continues in the future and hopefully produces a win for Allen. I would also like to give a special thanks to my other House captain Kate Thorby.  You have done a great job and it's been a pleasure working alongside you.

To all the students who make up the Allen family I want to say you guys have done such an amazing job this year and I couldn't be prouder. To all our leavers, I wish you all the very best for the future.  You have all definitely made your mark on the House in one way or another throughout the years.  Hopefully you have learned a thing or two, and I hope that stays with you forever.

Hopefully next year our next great leaders and the Allen house family will pull through with a win and make Kate and I proud. I wish everyone the very best for the future and remember to take every opportunity you can.  You are all such amazing people and will go amazing place. Last of all, GO FOR GOLD ALLEN!!
