A huge congratulations to all of our amazing students who competed in the Dance NZ Made competition at the Regent Theatre in Palmerston North.

Dance NZ Made celebrates and embraces the strength, diversity and passion of dance in New Zealand.


It is a two-day competition, with the solo, duo and trio competition on the first day and the group entries on the next day.The amazing dancers who represented Manawatū College and showcased their amazing on-stage talents in the solo, duo and trio competitions were:


SOLO ENTRIES- Montarne Murphy-Lahina (year 13)- Troy Rowe-Roberts (year 12)- Meyah Whaitiri (year 9)- Jewel Swinburn (year 9)


DUO ENTRY- Kate Johnstone and Thea Pacure (year 11)


TRIO ENTRIES- Jordyn Austin, Thea Pacure and Mikayla Johnson (year 11)- Amy Parfitt, Jordyn Austin and Thea Pacure (years 11 & 12)- Miya Harding-Nation, Tyler O'Brien and Lily Fulton (year 9)


A huge congratulations to Montarne and Troy who won the 'Best Heart' award at the competition. Montarne for his performance in the group entry and Troy for his solo. The 'Best Heart' award is given to one performer each day who gives it their all and puts their whole heart into their performance!
