Our Ki o Rahi team represents Manawatu College at the National Secondary Schools Ki o Rahi Championships 2019.
After qualifying third in last year's Regional Championships, the team travelled to the tournament in Hastings on the first weekend of the term one holidays.
The team played five, five-minute quarter matches against Karamu High School from Hastings, Tawa College from Wellington, Horouta Wananga from Gisborne, Te Waha o Rerekohu from Te Araroa and Tu Toa from Palmerston North on day one.
On day two they faced off against Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Hoani Waititi from Auckland and Te Kura o Kokohuia School from Whanganui to place 32nd overall.
Te Wharekura O Rakaumangamanga from Huntly won the tournament.
