Former Head Student Kyle Williams-Simeon is awarded his Gold Duke of Edinburgh at a Ceremony in Government House, Wellington.

On Saturday 12th August, Kyle was recognised for his efforts at the Duke Of Edinburgh International Aotearoa New Zealand Hillary Gold Presentation Awards 2017.

The ceremony celebrates the awardee's accomplishments and formally recognises them for their efforts. This year featured 56 gold awardees from all over New Zealand. 

They were awarded their Gold Certificate and Badge by Dame Pasty Reddy,  Her Excellency Governor General of New Zealand and Sir David Gascoigne. 

Kyle was given the privilege of thanking Dame Patsy and Sir David on behalf of all the recipients there . 

Mrs Garner, Head of Duke of Edinburgh, was in attendance at the ceremony says she was very proud of Kyle.   Many people came up after and congratulated him on his speech.

Kyle is attending Victoria University this year, completing a BCOM, majoring in management and Human Resources.
