The 2018 Secondary Schools Weightlifting Championships were held at Functional Strength Weightlifting Club in Auckland

Shelby came second in the Under 58kg, Under 15 division . She also broke the NZ record for Under 15 clean and jerk with 67kg.  She had a competition best snatch of 46kg, a personal best clean and jerk of 67kg, and a personal best total of 113kg.

Miniah lifted a Personal Best Snatch at 66kg, Competition Personal Best clean & jerk at 75kg (near miss at 78!), Personal Best total of 141kg! Miniah also qualified for Nationals and came firstst in the U15’s 75+ Category!
