It was a very successful competition for both girls. Every time they step up on the stage they deliver something big.

Shelby Wells placed fourth in the youth division with a personal best clean and jerk, hitting 60kg and 63kg.  She hit 40kg and 43kg in her snatch, totaling 106kg for her first international competition! 

Sam Hansen was the first placed junior and the second placed senior in the competition. She broke the New Zealand Junior record for snatch under 69kg by hitting a 77kg personal best snatch. She also earned a personal best total of 171kg.
