Talent scouts audition students for starring roles in a New Zealand feature film!

Mana Media —

On Friday 6th July, Domino Youth Casting Team auditioned students aged 14 - 18 for starring roles in a New Zealand feature film being shot in Wellington this year.

Natano Keni, owner of Ikenso Productions and Erana James, who was recently in the Miranda Harcourt film 'The Changeover'  based on the Margaret Mahy book with the same name, came to take head shots and audition students for the roles of two teenage brothers who grew up in boys homes in the the 1980s.

They spoke to the students about the casting process for movies and gave them advice about how to become actors in New Zealand and how to make it in the New Zealand film industry.

Five students, Navah Chapman, Tiernan Spalding, Stephen Hofmann, Jordan Hofmann and Levi Archer were asked to do filmed, cold readings of the script.  They also had their head shots taken.

Could they be the next Julian Dennison from 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople' and 'Deadpool 2'?
