The Library

Ada Graham —

2016 has been a very busy but productive year.  First and foremost, congratulations to all of our students for your hard work and positive attitude.

We continue to see a high number of students coming into the Library and also an increasing number of classes being held there.  This is pleasing to see as it is the people who give life to the facility.  The library continues to be the whare of the Homework Centre.  Video Conferencing is a new feature where students learn from other schools, subjects such as level three Biology and level two Classics.

There are a few people that I need to acknowledge this year for all of their hard work and support of our students;  the teachers who have come in to the library at interval and lunchtime or have covered for me while I was away to keep the Library open for the students.  I very much appreciate all of your on-going support.

I would also like to thank my student helpers in the Library who have committed their own time to help with bits and bobs in the Library, as well as stock take and other tasks.  Congratulations Aimee Gears who receives the Senior Contribution Award to the Library, and Dominic Kupa who receives the Junior Dedication Award to the Library.

Finally, to all of our senior students who move on to the next leg of their journey next year,  I want to wish you all the very best for a productive life.  As they say, "the world is your oyster" and I love oysters!
