U-Skills Hospitality Programme Review - Pachience Fenn.

Mana Media —

Year 13 student Pachience Fenn reviews the U-Skills Academy Hospitality programme she completed through UCOL this year.

The U-Skills Academy Hospitality programme levels 2/3 taught me exactly what I was wanting to get out of the course.

The high level of industry practice taught to us by the knowledgeable lecturers gave me insight into what my future career could be like. We learnt many skills in the commercial kitchen, the working restaurant and bar. These included making coffee, making mocktails, cooking cafe and restaurant quality food and serving customers.

For our final assessments, we had three brunch services and three lunch services where we used the skills and knowledge we had been practising to serve our families and the public in the Ambitions training restaurant. This was a great opportunity and I would recommend anyone given the chance to go for it.

I have included a few photos of the items I made practising for our assessments in the kitchen.
