Open Night

Mana Media —

Students and parents from our contributing primary schools attended our Open Evening on Thursday 4th August.

The purpose of the evening is to allow prospective 2017 year 9 students and their parents to tour the College and see the curriculum areas in action.  They also are able to discuss programmes and option selections, as well as ask any questions of staff and current students.

After a welcome by Mr McIntyre, the guests are placed in groups with staff and current students and they begin their tour of the school.  The activities include a Dance/Drama performance, PE exhibitions and games, lab dissections in Science as well as an interactive Kahoot competition.  This year saw new exhibitions on display  from our Carving and Whakairo courses which was impressive.

The evening concludes with a traditional supper for the families which is put together by Mrs Hoggart and her Food and Catering Class.  The evening was a huge success and was enjoyed by all.
