Manawatu College Educational Trust AGM

Established in 1985, the Manawatu College Educational Trust (Inc) supports the educational advancement of College students. Trust income is allocated to scholarships, educational resources, equipment and building projects that directly support the students. This income is generated by a protected fund consisting principally of membership subscriptions. Any person may become a member of the Trust by paying a subscription.

Our year 12 students take part in the award-winning RYDA Road Safety Education Workshop.

RYDA is designed for 16-17-year-olds as they begin to drive or ride in cars driven by their peers. This workshop (part of a broader programme) challenges students to change the way they think about road safety and lay the foundation for safe road use throughout their lives.

Our year 9 and 10 Te Whare Moemoea homeroom students spent their first two days of college at Paranui Marae for an overnight noho, supported by senior Maori Studies students.

Year 13 student Dom Kupa competes at the New Zealand National Arabian Championships in Christchurch!

Cell Phone Free Expectations for year 9 and 10 students.

In an attempt to reduce distractions in the classroom and reduce disruptions to teaching and learning, many schools are making the decision to ban cellphones at school. A decision has been made to trial the banning of all cellphones for year 9 and 10 students this year.
