Waynne Napier steps down as Deputy Principal but remains a classroom teacher.

This week Waynne Napier announced his resignation from the position of senior Deputy Principal, relinquishing many of his current responsibilities while retaining some as he continues in a full-time middle management and teaching role in the College.

We salute Waynne for his tireless commitment to the College in the increasingly demanding role he has undertaken for the last eleven years. It is impossible to fully appreciate the demands this multi-faceted role has placed on Waynne, and while we fully respect his desire to step aside, we count ourselves very fortunate that he remains committed to Manawatu College in a position which will enable him to lead a more balanced life.

Mr Napier’s DP roles are currently being distributed amongst other senior and middle leaders. Our second Deputy Principal, Steve Parrant will be our sole deputy for the foreseeable future.
