On Saturday 3rd November a group of 10 staff and students competed in the annual Quarter Iron Maori Triathlon in Napier.
The team consisted of Sports Captains Sam Hansen and Chelsea Parlato, Mr Micky O'Dea and his wife Sandra, Mr Narf Taru, Miss Hellen Windley, Ms Park and former students Emma Green and Karleigh Porter.
They had to complete a 1 kilometer swim, a 45 kilometer bike and a 10 kilometer run.
Everyone completed the course with impressive times and did extremely well. Emma Green was second out of the water and Chelsea Parlato fourth. Congratulations to all, especially Mr Taru and Emma Green who came first in their age divisions. Mr Taru was fourth overall male and Emma was sixth overall female.
