Beating out 20 other designs, Natalie's was chosen to be the design for the lighting pou at the Te Awahou Niewe Stroom building on Main street.
On Wednesday 2nd August Natalie traveled to Auckland on her first ever plane trip to finalise her winning design for the pou.
At 10.00 am she arrived in Auckland and shuttled down to the FEL Group building. There she had a meeting with both Dutch artists, both Maori artists and the CEO of the company as well as a tour around the FEL Group Factory.
The purpose of the trip was hash out all the little details of the sculptures, eg. a name other than "lighting pou", the colour of the framework, what design went where and what the Pou would be cut out of.
