Our unit this term is called 'Express Yourself!' and is based around the 'arts' curriculum.

To generate some excitement around our topic and to give the students a sense of what was in store for them this term musicians, actors and dancers were invited into school to perform during week 1.

We were lucky enough to welcome a Jazz group from Christchurch, Motueka High School Choir, Darrin Andrews and his expert guitar playing and some Ceroc Dancers to perform at School. All of the performers were so professional and skilful. It really gave our students an insight into what can be achieved with a bit of dedication and practice.

As well as these performers we also had a lunchtime dance party and watched some very talented staff perform a play. This is all a great lead up to our production being held at the beginning of term 4.
