Mapua School Board of Trustees is committed to our children receiving the

best educational opportunities available but...

We need your help!


The Board receives government funding to run the school. Like most schools the amount received is not the amount

we find we need to provide all the things a modern school requires.

To meet the deficit the Board of Trustees relies heavily on other funding sources.

These include The Easter Fair, grant applications and the support of the FOMS (Friends of Mapua School).

It also includes your parent donation.

Your school donation of $130 per child also includes an activity fee of $35 per child.

Of this, $17.50 is allocated for whole school activities eg, entry fee for a visiting performer,

and $17.50 is allocated for learning team activities eg activity day at an off site centre, visit to museum etc.

Once these funds have been used there will be no more trips or activities in that particular year.

The remainder assists with the provision of ‘extras’ such as...

Computers & technology, reduced class sizes, free internet, library resources, sports equipment.

The exception to claims against this fee would be school camp fees, sport teams fees, Inspire conference, Mathletics, Dragon Maths and stationery costs. These will be charged to the students participating in these specific activities. Details on these are on the respective team's stationery list.

Your donation can be paid directly at the school office (eftpos available) or via internet banking –

(NBS 03 1354 0326037 00). Please include family name and ‘donation’ in the reference.

The donations qualify for 33.3% tax credit (rebate).

Our office staff will issue a receipt for you to claim this.
