Road Safety Reminders

Sharon Prestidge —

We need to work together to make sure our tamariki are safe in their journey to and from school.

A few reminders of how you can assist with this:

Bus Bay/Drop off Zone

The Bus Bay/Drop off Zone in front of the school is only for temporarily pulling up to and allowing children to exit from the car (safely). It is not a parking area.

Scooters, Bikes, and Helmets

We highly recommend that your child wears a helmet when they are scootering to and from school.  When they are riding their scooter within the school grounds, it is compulsory that they wear a helmet.

Tamariki must wear a helmet when riding a bike to and from school and if they are riding a bike within the school grounds please.

Crossing Aranaui Road

If your child is crossing Aranui Road at the school end, please ensure they used the manned crossing.  We have adults standing out there in all weather to ensure everyone is safe so please make use of them!

(We are still looking for parent volunteers to help with this duty before or after school, so please sing out if you can assist.)

If your child crosses Aranui Road down by the shop, please ensure you have gone through how to do this safely with them.

Stork Parking

Stork parking is for our families with young babies.  Please respect their need to have these parks available.

Staff Car Park

The carpark beside the admin block is the staff carpark. We ask that whānau use the larger carpark please.
