Our Annual Māpua School Book Fair Was Once Again Amazing.

Harakeke kaiako —

Thanks to everyone who was able to support the school by purchasing a book, or in some cases several books! This year was our best year ever with over $1600 to spend on new books.

Every year we are lucky enough to be well supported by our parent community and tamariki (who come in armed with their pocket money!).  Every purchase adds up and we use the money we 'earn' to buy new books for our library.  So keep your eyes open as the new titles purchased will be out in circulation very soon.  The finale of book week is the "Dress up as a book character day" and as far as finales go it was a cracker.  It was great to see so many home made creations at the parade on Friday.  There were appearances by Huckleberry Finn, Garfield, Yoda, The Cat in the Hat, Fern from Charlotte's Web, animals from Dear Zoo, Ninja Turtles, dinosaurs, the Red Wiggle and Clifford the Big Red Dog.
