OOBLECK - Is it liquid or solid?

Philippa Jackson —

Ruma Mahoe explored OObleck - a mixture of corn flour and water. Why does it go hard when we used force? Why does it run like thick liquid when we rest it.

We discovered that corn flour particles do not dissolve in water but they do mix together. When we stood on the mixture/threw it/grabbed it or whacked it with a stick, it went hard. This is because the water gets squeezed away and the cornflour particles cling together. When we relaxed it the corn flour particles spread out and they mixed together again.
