Emergency Drills - Keeping our Tamariki Safe
Our Intermediate Team did a great job hosting an 'emergency procedure reminders' assembly last week.
We were treated to great presentations which all served a common purpose of reminding everybody what to do in various emergency scenarios.
We finished the assembly with a surprise fire drill. Our student body and assembly audience showed they had taken everything on board and followed procedure perfectly. We did, however have one issue...... and parents, sorry, it was you!
If an alarm is sounding, please stay off site. We need to keep the access way clear and our priority is keeping our students safe. If we have to come and muster adults who have come on site whilst an alarm is sounding, this takes our attention away from looking after students.
A fire engine would enter the grounds through the gate between Harakeke and Totara so we ask that any adults stay well clear. I suggest the parent carpark would be the best place for you to wait.
Thanks for your helps with this in future.
