Sports Leaders at Māpua School
Our sports leaders set up a new initiative this week to help develop Touch Rugby skills.
With the Touch season well under way, the Year 8 sports leaders have developed a series of practices to support fitness, ball skills and on field communication.
I have been so impressed with the way they have organised themselves and the timetable for these sessions to run. They have been totally independent of adult support and have created a fun set of activities that the younger students are really enjoying.
The leaders have organised 3 rotations for Yrs 1-5 that will help them when they play their Touch games after school on Tuesdays.
Ty Incendy, Noah Deacon and Isaac Stevens are leading this and they are supported by a variety of willing Year 8's. Well done boys, keep it up.
