This term, team Maunga have been embracing all things creative in their writing, looking at the imaginative language of poetry.

Step by step the team have looked at different forms of poetry and have written their own creations. The next step for their learning is to look at using similes in their writing, using personification and then on to alliteration and onomatopoeia. Looking at poetry in specific detail is a great way for children to open their minds, look at the world and others in unique ways, and use this knowledge to make their fiction writing both more descriptive and engaging for their audience.
