Totara have been working hard on their second portrait of the year, working carefully to try and improve their art since the beginning of the year.

I've been so impressed with Totara's skill and determination with their portraits this term. Firstly they started off with a draft in their art book, working carefully on sizing and spacing of their facial features.

Next step was putting their talent onto paper, using pencil first and then finishing off with water-colour pencils.

Finally for the border Totara decided that black paper would help their portrait stand out more. We got a plethora of different colours and flicked blobs of paint, scattering them around the paper.
