Game Changer in the Seniors

This term the Seniors have been trialing lots of different ways of creating self powered vehicles.

We started with rubber band cars, winding up rubber bands to make our wheeled coffee cups roll across the floor with great success.

Next we moved on to balloon powered vehicles which became more challenging. The weight to power ratio was important and a hard balance to achieve.

We also explored another style of rubber band powered cars.

Some lucky students got to work with one of our parents, Adam Bovill, who shared his expertise on making mouse-trap powered vehicles. These were much more technical, using a lever to help the vehicle move.

There was lots of learning about failing and trying again, with plenty of resilience shown with many problem solving sessions.
