Marlborough Boys’ College were asked to run the Pōwhiri for the International Over 50s Cricket tournament hosted at Horton Park. The tournament involved Australia, USA and two New Zealand teams.

Marlborough Boys’ had three Old Boys playing in the tournament for NZ – Scott McHardy, Mason Robinson and Greg Stretch.

The kaikaranga was done by Kōhā Helen Joseph (for hosts) and Erina Maxwell (for manuhiri) and Matua John Kendal did the kaiwhaikōrero. Kinaki and Haka Pōwhiri was performed by MBC Kapa Haka. Andrew Hore (NZ team) spoke on behalf of manuhiri.
