Our Uara | Values

Marlborough Girls' College —

We are very excited to share our new tohu | symbols for our values with you.

They are based on raranga, the weaving of flax strands which references the flax industry in the early days of Wairau. Our grounds were also the site of an early flax mill.

The weaving of strands in the tohu represents the weaving together of the thread of people, to create a supportive community within the kura.
