Amelia C, Amelia H, Hayley S, Izzy V, Neve S, Poppy F and Shanaya M, with the support of Miss Smith and Miss Pullin, set off on their Duke of Edinburgh tramp.

The weather on Saturday was stunning, and allowed for many drink stops that also doubled as a chance to admire the scenery.

Once we had set up camp at Lakehead, a few members of the group went over to scope out the river crossing that was to be attempted the following morning.

After a good night's sleep, the girls managed to cross the river and continued around the lake heading back to the cars. The lunch stop was at the stunning Whisky Falls just before the rain set in. A wet final push to the cars followed but the girls kept their spirits high. A hot chocolate and chips at the Alpine Lodge rounded out a great weekend tramp.

Throughout the whole tramp, these seven students worked very well together, communicating effectively ensuring that stops were taken when they were needed and lots of chatting and laughing away all the time.
