Chloe Faulls wins Young Women in Public Affairs Award
As part of the Marlborough Youth Council I was encouraged to apply for the YWPA award as this was a public affairs-based role. I enjoyed opportunities to speak on behalf of my peers and the scholarship recognised young women in Marlborough who had been doing this through groups like youth and student council so I thought it The scholarship meant a lot to me as it has allowed further education to be more achievable. It means my first year at university will be more enjoyable as there is less stress to afford thousands of dollars worth of study, I'm very grateful for the opportunity that Zonta has allowed me to have!
Next year I'm hoping to go to the University of Canterbury to study Civil Engineering. After four years and one completed degree later, I'd love to get out and travel the world for a few months but I'll see what the Covid situation is looking like once I've finished my degree!I would highly recommend that everyone should get involved within the community in some way as it's so rewarding being able to see positive change within the region as a result of something that you have contributed to!
