Whenua Iti offer an amazing Tourism Operations course - and two of our students have kickstarted their year with week 1.

Q Johnson and Sofia Johanson, both Year 13, experienced their first week on the Whenua Iti Tourism Operations course this term. This is a four week course in total, done in one week lots throughout the year.

The course allows students to really experience tourism through the lens of clients, local tourism business owners and as an employee. 

They visit a range of tourism operators and have the opportunity to learn about the different roles within these businesses. In addition to this they learn some of the key skills that will equip them for working in this exciting NZ industry. 

The programme is delivered in such a way as to provide an engaging and experiential learning experience. Plus quite a bit of fun as well!
