Maggie Lloyd and Jan Gallop were recognised by School Sport NZ for their services to sport in schools.

We were thrilled to welcome Mike Summerell, CEO of School Sport NZ, to MGC last week to honour two of our 'sporting heros' here at MGC.

Maggie Lloyd and Jan Gallop were both recognised with a Service to School Sport Award in a special assembly right here at MGC. The national award they both received recognises exceptional service over a number of years to school sport as a volunteer.

They both received a pounamu taonga in honour of their service and commitment in supporting our rangatahi and kura over many years here in Blenheim. 

We know how hard Maggie and Jan work within our school and across our community to provide these amazing opportunities to our students, and were thrilled to share this special moment with them.
